TSANGANO PARISH IN THE DIOCESE OF DEDZA MAKES A GENEROUS CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THE UNIVERSAL SOLIDARITY FUND OF ST. PETER THE APOSTLE
On 30th April 2023, the laity, sisters, brothers and priests in the diocese of Dedza flocked to Tsangano parish with joy to witness the Diocesan Celebration of Vocation Sunday.
On this day the youth and the whole Christian community of Tsangano Parish took an active part in the Liturgy as encouraged by PMS through the Pontifical Missionary Society of St Peter the Apostle.
This PMS society of St. Peter the Apostle advocates for the life of Praying for the vocations, the Missionary spirit in the youth and sacrifice in the lives of all members of the Catholic Church.
On the part of the sacrifice, the youth and Christians of Tsangano Parish showed that the animation sessions given to them in March 2023 were bearing good fruits in their hearts.
In order for a person to give generously to the Church, it is true that first we must touch his heart for him or her to give generously to the activities of the Church. The Vocation Sunday contribution from Tsangano Parish showed that the parishioners are ready and willing to help the Church. The entire community of Tsangano Parish contributed about MK1,843,200 (Malawi Kwacha) to the universal solidarity fund. This is the first time in the diocese of Dedza to receive such an amount of money for the Vocation Sunday celebration.
The office of PMS in the diocese of Dedza will continue animation sessions with the people of God so that we can help the people to understand their role in helping the Church with their resources. In a special way, the Diocesan PMS offices would like to thank Fr. Lazarus Magonde and Fr Innocent Mlongoti for their active participation and cooperation when we were organizing this year’s Diocesan celebration of Vocation Sunday.
