Rt. Rev. P. Chifukwa has launched the 2025 Mission Sunday Celebration in the Diocese of Dedza at Nzama Parish. He has also administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to some of the Parishioners in this Parish, which also happens to be the first Catholic Mission in Malawi.

The ceremony was attended by many Parishioners from all 12 Churches of Nzama. Gogo Chalo, Imkosi Mpando Khwinda, was also in attendance and was given time during speeches to address the congregation.

Small Christian Communities in all Parishes of the Diocese of Dedza are encouraged to contribute not less than K5,000.00 per SCC towards Mission Sunday, which shall be celebrated on 19/09/25. The Small Christian Communities of Nzama have already begun contributing not less than K10,000.00 towards the same. All the money collected on Mission Sunday is sent to Rome to the solidarity fund.

Animations will intensify during the days prior to this annual Celebration. The Pontifical Mission Society of Propagation of Faith is in charge of Mission Sunday Celebration and undertakes the role of encouraging Christians (Catholics) worldwide to spread the Good News as per the mandate of Jesus Christ to go out and preach the Good News. PMS has three pillars, namely prayer, service and offerings towards the mission.
