The World Day of Prayer for Vocations Pope Francis asks us to reflect on the theme of ”called to sow seeds of hope to build peace”. In our diocese, this day was celebrated at the diocesan level at Holy Family, Bembeke Cathedral Parish by His Lordship, Bishop Peter Adrian Chifukwa.

This day of prayer for vocations invites us to think deeply about the precious gift of the Lord’s call to every human being as a member of his faithful pilgrim. Bishop Chifukwa asked all Christians to participate in God’s plan and embody the gospel’s goodness in our daily endeavours.

Also present at the Eucharistic Celebration was the Pontifical Mission Societies coordinator in the Diocese of Dedza, Fr Luke Sulumba, priests, sisters, brothers and lay faithful.

The theme for this year’s Vocation Sunday is: “Youth, as you are called to sow seeds of hope and to build peace, go and invite everyone to the banquet.” (Mt. 22:9)
