The Catholic Women Association (CWA) from the Diocese of Dedza demonstrated their commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility on Saturday 7th September. A dedicated group of women volunteered their time to participate in a clean-up day at Sharpvale Hospital.
The CWA’s mission aligns with the teachings of the Catholic Church, emphasizing compassion for the marginalized and a deep respect for the natural world. By choosing to clean up a local hospital, the women not only improved the physical environment but also showed solidarity with the patients and staff who rely on these facilities.
The event was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiasm and hard work of the CWA members. Their efforts undoubtedly made a positive impact on the hospital’s appearance and overall cleanliness.
The CWA would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Rose Chafukira, the CWA chair lady; Fr. Gift Selemani, the CWA chaplain; and Sr. Jasinta Chiwayu, the CWA advisor, for their unwavering guidance and support.
